Gangopadhyay Endorses Merrick for Chancellor

Retired antiestablishmentarianist activist/filmmaker Maximiliano Gangopadhyay has stepped back into the national spotlight to deliver remarks about the upcoming election. He had previously retired from public life to focus on his family following the birth of his daughter.

The Tahan Campaign headquarters was deserted Wednesday evening, it appears that every single member of his staff ran off to avoid having to explain the Senator's comments to the press.

In his Wednesday address, Gangopadhyay denounced several statements which Senator Tahan made the day before at a campaign rally. In the remarks, Tahan had promised to look into the claims touted by the activist group to see whether they had any validity. Gangopadhyay scorned these commitments as “patronizing assurances, interpreted optimistically.”

Had these remarks been delivered in isolation, Gangopadhyay noted that he would have viewed them as typical empty promises from a ruling class interested only in the peoples’ votes. However, the incensed activist noted that Senator Tahan had gone on to threaten legal action against the group.

Presumptuous legislators cannot pronounce conflicting political sentiments as prosecutable, and blackmail well-meaning demonstrators by threatening incarceration! These outrageous accusations are the language of authoritarianism.

The activist said that he could no longer remain on the sidelines any longer, while a man who espouses such “dangerous sentiments” continues to run for the nation’s top office: “Our organization opposes the establishment; however, Senator Tahan’s declamations indicate he opposes fundamental democratic principles.”

Because of Tahan’s speech, Gangopadhyay said that he has been forced to endorse Senator Tahan’s political opponent, Senator Lily Merrick, in the upcoming election.

Antiestablishmentarianism has grown in popularity throughout recent history, and it remains to be seen whether support from this group is required in order to win a national election.

The Confederacy Senate's a busy place, and keeping track of everything is pretty difficult.

That's what BK Coverage is for.
